Nal_rA has overturned what was considered standard through his games. They call him "The Dreamer" (夢想家) because he will conjure a worst-case scenario for his opponents, entrapping them in a nightmare that only few escape. Every pylon that is positioned has a deep significance, as his calculated plays thin the line that divides reality and fantasy.

Many consider him as the "Protoss version of Boxer," exhibiting dynamic strategies, in particular the "Defensive-style Protoss" and crippling the Zerg, which were once considered to have an overwhelming advantage over the Protoss.

One of the Ongamenet commentators, Taehyung Kim asserted that Nal_rA was "the only perfect form of the Protoss" and that "no other Protoss would reach his level." He explained that his ability in securing resources, tech tree, and overall management & execution all fall in perfect rhythm. He stated that every one of Nal_rA's plays are finely calculated, especially with the timing of his second scouting probe that was noticeable in his recent games. Instead of the standard Protoss plays such as hardcore zealots against the Zerg, he will minimize the weaknesses and create his own style.

In addition, Nal_rA saved his team KTF numerous times in Proleague during 2005, with a record of nine consecutive wins during the ace rounds.
